Description
"Environmental Conservation is the broad term for anything that furthers the goal of making life more sustainable for the planet (i.e. the protection, preservation, management, or restoration of natural environments and the communities that inhabit them)." Established in 2008, The Caribbean Environmental Management Bureau (CEMBI) – acronym pronounced “sem-BEE,” provides assistance in matters related to "Thematic Clusters of Sustainable Development as listed by the United Nations - (sustainabledevelopment.un.org/index.php?menu=1565)."
CEMBI’s main objectives are to help various businesses and communities become more efficient as it relates to resource economics in general; produce useful systems through project conceptualization, implementation, budget management, data analysis and training; to achieve set goals and thus the marketability of companies and by extension the host country.
Our Team:
Within the CEMBI team, there is sound knowledge in a wide range of natural resource and environmental management issues including coastal and marine resource management, general natural resource management, climate change, pollution control, sustainable tourism and health; complimented by expertise in project management, environmental law, information communications technology (ICT), behavioural change, public awareness and education. The team is comprised of independent consultants.
