CLIENTS
The Environmental Health Department of the Ministry of Health in Barbados (Government); requested cooperation regarding the development of HACCP certification programmes to serve Barbados’ food industry, with the desire to repeat the process with other health related training courses and industries in due course.
The project offers each stakeholder the opportunity to fulfil aspects of its mission: The Ministry of Health in Barbados seeks to maintain public health by offering preventive treatment and health control services, as well as organizing and supervising health related services offered by the public and private sectors; the enduring mission of The University of the West Indies (UWI) is to propel the economic, social, political and cultural development of West Indian society through teaching, research, innovation, advisory and community services and intellectual leadership (UWI Strategic Plan 2007-2012); and The Caribbean Environmental Management Bureau (CEMB) is committed to being a driving force towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
